Go From Basics to Advanced in this 3 week Speedlight Photography Course

6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m.
In this 3 week speedlight photography course, Xavier will begin with the basics of understanding the flash and why you would want to use a speedlight to add light to a photograph. Attendees will learn the functions of the flash and learn the fundamentals of setting a flash up to use with your camera. No previous knowledge is required as this class will start from the basics.
Students will be taught how to mimic ambient light and how to match ambient light with their flash. Learn how to get a natural looking light from this powerful lighting tool, both on and off of the camera.
Students will also learn about light modifiers and how to soften and control the fall off from the speed light.
This is a hands on photography class and students will be photographing with their flash each week. A camera and basic knowledge of how to use your manual settings is helpful, and a flash is also required.
Photos On The Vine is a local photography studio which also rents studio space and holds various types of photography classes from beginner classes to studio lighting. Classes are BYOB events. Attendees have the option to bring their own bottle of wine and appetizers to enjoy before classes. A Perfect Blend of Creativity, Conversation and Learning.
