Whether you just received a camera and are not sure where to start, or you are ready to learn how to really use your digital camera to get more professional looking portraits, this hands on class will help you understand digital photography so you can start taking your own photographs with more confidence.

- Camera functions including program icons
- ISO: What ISO settings represent and how to make it work for you
- Shutter Speed: What it means and how and when to use it.
- F/stop and Aperture: What it means and how it works with ISO and Shutter Speeds
- Light: Ambient and Flash and the general ways to see it
- Digital photo concepts like using flash and composition
- Recommended accessories to enhance your picture taking
- How to get your images into your computer
This Class will also include a special Valentines Event. Receive a free portrait in our studio. We will use your camera, in our studio setting, to create a portrait just for you. This will make a great event for couples, so be sure to purchase 2 event tickets to have a fun night out with your special person and receive that free portrait session!
This class will be especially beneficial for all levels of photographers who wish to better their photography skills.
This class is open to both point and shoot and DSLR photographers.
If you have a small camera without interchangeable lenses, you will be learning about manual settings. Some point and shoot cameras may not have all these functions.
If you have a camera with interchangeable lenses, or a camera that allows you to manually adjust your shutter speed and aperture, you will enjoy the class to its full intent.

Photos On The Vine is a local photography studio which also rents studio space and holds various types of photography classes from beginner classes to studio lighting. This class is a BYOB event.
